GETTING INVOLVED

A letter from Mary Jane Trunzo, Casa Board President:

Hello!

December 2017 marks the beginning of Stephanie's 30th year as President and CEO of Casa! To celebrate and honor Stephanie's three decades of unwavering service protecting and elevating the lives of children, the Casa Board of Directors, staff and volunteers are going to jump start 2018 with a positively powerful end-of-year fundraising campaign honoring Stephanie Orr's accomplishments.

Since 1988, Stephanie has been a dedicated, determined, and fierce advocate for the emotional welfare of children through her commitment to Casa's role in their education.

As a result, Casa has provided:

  • Programs in schools throughout the Valley of the Sun teaching positive Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies to thousands of students replacing negative learned behaviors with positive skills of compassion, kindness, and empathy to reduce and stop the cycle of abuse, violence, meanness and bullying.

  • Sexual abuse prevention programs to more than 1 million children preventing and stopping sexual abuse of thousands resulting in the arrest of their sex offenders.

  • Counseling Services to 40,000 victims of child sexual abuse and sexual assault.

  • Crisis and advocacy services for more than 150,000 thousand callers to Casa's 24-hour help line as well as 4,000 victims of sexual abuse and sexual assaults in area emergency rooms and advocacy centers.

Following the example of our nation's unprecedented success with anti-smoking campaigns, Stephanie spreads the important message that if we ALL work together to learn and teach Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) skills to children and families, we can change our culture to positive communities of harmony and happiness, no longer tolerating the abuse of our children and violence in our homes and communities.

Friends, frankly, these 30 years have not been easy financially, and in tough economic times Stephanie has donated most of her salary back to Casa to achieve our goals. But throughout her tenure, she has remained dedicated to our mission and has never given up!

Show Stephanie how much you appreciate and support her by giving $30, $300, $3,000, $300,000 or $3 million! Just think of all of the children Casa can serve!

WHATEVER YOU CAN GIVE will be so appreciated by Stephanie and the entire team at Casa! After 30 years of providing a vision for our children's future, no one deserves your end-of-year donation consideration more.

Sincerely,

Mary Jane
